Beautiful things Animations Sketch Book This really is my sketch book so don't expect it to make sense have correect spelling or grammer.

The idea is that the Things develop some form of limited movement which is relevant to their form. They then go to a drama group and perform a series of documented improvisations.

1First example of the book. Trying to get it to appear to be wobbling from side to side and then walking. Looks ok when it is wobbling but the forward walk is wrong. I enjoy it being stranded in all that black.

Technical note: scaled it up by 2% on each 8th clip as this was when the tip was complete.

2 Am wondering if the book really needs to walk. Not sure If I'm wondering this because it would save work or its a real aesthetic question. Will have to sleep on this one.

3Plant life- Drawn in photoshop using the warp tool. Came about without planning and I think that shows in the strange story line. Started me thinking about the iidea of objects improvising through animation, a nonsense because animation is so premeditated really. Got to get from here to here by doing this this and this and this and this. Is there such a thing as cold blooded animation? That live animation we saw in Edinburgh was hinting at that possibility although it was very rehersed in that case.

This is all a bit dada with found objects, machines and playing about. Dada a mainly male group from the past, what would dada be if it was female and set today, with todays technologies?

Objects don't move although a cup did fly out of the cupbaord today in a forceful and unpredicted way. If objects move we blame it on a spiritual presence. Maybe they have just been working up to it.

Maybe the objects could project a message..
